We left the rainforest today, but we thankfully didn’t have to suffer through a three-hour chilly boat ride. Instead, we drove in a bus for half the trip and said goodbye to our Amazon guides. We took our suitcases and boarded another plane to Cusco. It was only a thirty minute plane ride and as soon as we landed, we were overjoyed to see sunlight (since there was a lack of this in the jungle!).

Another two-hour bus ride later, we arrived at our destination in the Sacred Valley. Almost immediately after we arrived at our hotel, the Sonesta, we were pulled away to partake in three different traditional dance lessons. After much practice and fun with our native dance tutors, we gathered back at the hotel to show off our newly attained dance skills. Our three groups were separated once more to get into traditional costume and then one by one, we performed our dances for each other and some of the other guests at the hotel. After the dances, we mingled and took pictures of each other in our costumes and then headed off to dinner. Another amazing day!
